SALISBURY, MARYLAND – March 11, 2020 – The Daily Record recently named Salisbury’s Meredith Mears to its 2020 listing of Maryland’s Top 100 Women. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the award, which was founded in 1996 to recognize and honor the outstanding achievements of the state’s women demonstrated through professional accomplishments, community leadership and mentoring.

Mears will be honored at the Maryland’s Top 100 Women 25th Anniversary Gala and Awards Celebration to be held on the 23rd of April at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel. Several other events will take place throughout the year to celebrate this year’s honorees, including a Women’s Leadership Summit at Towson University on August 18, the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment.
“I’m both humbled and honored to receive recognition for the important work that goes into the daily grind of business, the growth of our community and perhaps most importantly, the mentoring of our youth,” said Mears. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to stand beside the phenomenal women who have also been recognized for their work.”
Meredith Mears is a Licensed Real Estate Advisor with NAI Coastal and is the Chief Development Officer of Gillis Gilkerson Construction and Development Company. Working in economic and real estate development for more than 18 years, Mears is heavily experienced in senior-level strategic leadership as well as commercial real estate development ranging in use from industrial and medical to mixed-use and retail. Mears specializes in sourcing and structuring large scale deals for investors and tenants and is recognized as a high-level producer in the industry. Meredith’s group has brokered over 350 commercial real estate transactions, and has participated in a sales volume exceeding $500 Million in brokerage and development deals.
In addition to her work with NAI Coastal and Gillis Gilkerson, Mears owns and operates M3 Investments, a company she founded to engage in commercial real estate opportunities.
Throughout her career, Mears has served in leadership capacities to grow the communities, organizations and companies she affiliates with. Mears actively serves as Regent for the University System of Maryland and she also serves on the Boards of Directors for several community organizations, including Leadership Maryland, where she is among a selected group of Maryland’s best and brightest leaders enlisted to create actionable, positive change in the State.
